My Black Salve Cancer? Story
January of 2010 I finally secured a job. I continued to run a 5K every day after work at a nearby lake popular with runners and college kids out for a stroll. One evening after finishing a run I noticed some severe left hip pain during the nearly 1 hour drive home. I didn't give it much thought, and it was much better, but still sore the next day. I just figured I needed to do a longer stretch before running at the end of the day. My job requires me to be semi active and semi desk-bound, a recipe I have since found out is terrible for those with back problems. The day after having the hip pain from my run I was assisting our dock crew. I jumped up on the back of the flatbed to help move some straps. I was feeling great...like a kid again, and instead of letting myself down easily, I jumped off the back of the truck, probably not the smartest move for a 50 year old man, with a known degenerated L5 disk, no matter how good I was feeling. I felt fine at the time, but 30 minutes after going back to the office and sitting, the back began to stiffen up. For three months I experienced some of the worst pain in my life. I had to stop exercise of any kind, as the pain of putting pressure on the left leg in particular was so intense I spent these months on crutches. I went to a Chiropractor, having found relief with one in the past, but this guy was terrible so I quit going. At the insistence of my wife, whose sister had found relief with an acupuncturist, and a recommendation of an aunt who knew one who visited her gym once a week offering advice and performing amazing demonstrations, I decided to give it a try.
Around the First Week of February 2012 I decided to visit this doctor who likes to refer to himself as a 'Doctor of Chinese Medicine' to get acupuncture treatments to relieve the symptoms I was continuing to feel from my injury. some numbness, pain, and weakness in my left foot and leg, associated with what I believe are one or more possible conditions:
1. Sciatic nerve irritation from L5 lumbar deterioration
2. Sciatic nerve impingement in the piriformis muscle...piriformis syndrome.
3. Leg length discrepancy, coupled with nerve damage due to low B-12 absorption because of daily treatment with proton-pump inhibitors because of my GURD.
4. One or more combinations of the above.
5. Who knows!!
During my second visit to the Doctor of Chinese Medicine (herein referred to as DCM) he noticed a large growth on my left arm which had grown from the size of a small pea to the size of a golf ball over the course of the last nine years.
I explained that my General Practitioner doctor had noticed it during a visit many years before, and after a cursory examination, concluded it might be scar tissue that had built up around a splinter of unknown origin. During my third visit, While DCM was doing some 'Cupping' on my back, he asked if he could put a small amount of something called 'black salve' on it. Shortly
afterward it began to tingle and sting. After about 5 minutes he asked if I was feeling anything. I told him it was burning, he explained that that was not a good sign. The salve he said only attacked cancer cells and left normal healthy skin intact. While in the office he showed me the website of Bill O'Leary a 48 year old Australian, living in Phuket Thailand and his Black Salve Skin Cancer Story. http://billolearyphuket.com/ArticleView.asp?ArticleID=33
I decided then and there to let the black salve, work it's magic, and allow God to restore me to health following the path he had allowed me to find myself on.
What follows is a day by day, blow by blow account of where I have been, with this treatment up to where I am today in the course of my third round of treatment. Let me start by saying that the medical community, the government, including the FDA do NOT approve of this treatment. They would prefer the conventional approach of treating the symptoms of my problem, rather that the root cause in order to keep the repeat customers and the money they bring!
I am not afraid of the potential scarring. There are several ways that I can mask it if necessary, my favorite being an tattoo that I've had an idea for a couple of years. I have faith that the scarring will be minimal. The body has incredible restorative powers that I believe are there regardless of age.
Before we begin...a little about Black Salve itself:
This all natural herbal-based compound contains the following ingredients: Red Clover, Graviola, Burdock Root, Chaparral, Bloodroot, and Zinc Mineral Salts.

Black salve is a popular alternative cancer treatment. The product is commonly classified as an escharotic—that is, a topical paste which burns and destroys skin tissue and leaves behind a thick, black scar called an eschar. Escharotics were widely used to treat skin lesions in the early 1900s, but have since been replaced by safer and more effective treatments such as Mohs surgery. Escharotics such as Cansema are currently advertised by some alternative medicine marketers as treatments for skin cancer, often with unsubstantiated testimonials and unproven claims of effectiveness. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration listed Cansema as a "fake cancer cure" and warned consumers to avoid it.
